Cox, John
John Cox, 75 years of age and a resident of Chase county for more than half a century died at his home southeast of Matfield Green early last Saturday morning. Coming to Kansas in the late "sixties" soon after the close of the Civil War, Mr. Cox engaged in farming and livestock raising, although he had quite active work some years ago. There were few men in the south part of Chase county who were better prepared or more favorable known than was Mr. Cox.
He leaves besides his wife five children who are: Frank Cox, of Dulce, New Mexico; Mrs. Fred Swift, of Matfield; John Cox Jr., of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Cora McDonald and Roy Cox, both of Milwaukee, Wis.
