Crawford, Elijah
Elijah Crawford, a former well known resident of this county and the father of Mrs. James Cahoone, northwest of this city, died at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, last Tuesday, March 30th.
Mr. Crawford, a former well known resident of this county and the father of Mrs. James Cahoone, northwest of the city, and Mrs. Efle Filmore, of this city, died at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, last Tuesday, March 30th.
Mr. Crawford lived near this city for many years where he engaged in farming and stock-raising. During recent years he has been at the Soldiers Home at Fort Leavenworth.
Besides his two daughters of this county, he is also survived by Mrs. Lawrence Gustin formerly of this city but now of Newton, Kan., and Mrs. R. M. Johnson, of Bristol, Colo. Mrs. Cahoone and Mrs. Guston and Mrs. Johnson were all present at the funeral which was held Thursday, April, 1st, at Leavenworth.
