Pearl Crawford Dead

Miss Pearl Crawford died at her home in this city, last Saturday afternoon, of consumption, after an illness of about three years. During all her illness she bore the acute suffering caused by the dread disease with a patience bourne of great fortitude, but ere the messenger of death had summoned her to a brighter life on the other shore, she was only waiting, ready and willing to go. The cloud of gloom which envelopes the relatives and friends, is pierced with one bright ray of light—her suffering is o'er, she is with her heavenly father in peace.

The deceased was born in Lawrence county, Ind., March 5, 1870,but she was reared in Kansas, having been brought to this state by her parent, in 1872. They located in Marion county, near Florence, where they lived until 1889, when they moved to Chase county. Deceased has lived here ever since, with the exception of two years, spent in Arkansas, at which place she contracted her illness.

She leaves, a father, mother and six sisters to mourn their loss of one beloved by all. Her sisters are Mrs. George Puntenny, Pueblo, Colo.; Mrs. J. J. Cahoone, Chase county; Mrs Richard Johnson, Towner, Colo, Mrs. Chas. Gotbehuet, Chase county, Mrs F. Fillmore, Chase Co.; Mrs. Lawrance Gustin, this city. Jas. Crawford, her only brother, died several years ago.

Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church, of which she was a member, by Rev. H. C. Case, and interrment was made in Prairie Grove cemetery, west of town.
