Crawshaw, Woodrow W

Woodrow Wilson Crawshaw, 90, Mayetta, died Jan. 29, 2003, at a Topeka retirement center.

Mr. Crawshaw farmed from 1937 until 1947. He then worked for the Adams Cattle Company from 1948 until he retired in 1980.

He was born Dec. 3, 1912, at Maple Hill, the son of John Thomas and Bessie Rae Crawshaw. . He was a member of the Maple Hill Community Church.

He married Nora May Teal on Feb. 13, 1937, in Topeka. She survives. Mr. Crawshaw was preced- ed in death by a son, Herbert T. Crawshaw, in 1976; a step- brother, Harold S. Teal; three step-sisters, Sabina I. Kelley, Martha I. Ridgeway and Marjorie I. Ridgeway; one sis- ter, Leila Holeman; and four brothers, Clarence Crawshaw, Elmer Crawshaw, Chester Crawshaw and Cody Crawshaw.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Woodrow W. Jr, Marion, Ronnie L., Cottonwood Falls, Lester R., Mayetta and Joseph H., Newport, R.I.; one brother, Franklin Crawshaw, Olathe; a step-sister, Nora May Crawshaw; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 31, 2003, at Maple Hill Community Church in Maple Hill. Burial was at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Maple Hill Community Church, 104 E. 4th Street, Maple Hill, Kan. 66507. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
