DAISY B. CROCKER

MRS. ARTHUR CROCKER DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

The many friends and acquaintances of Mrs. Arthur Crocker were grieved to learn of her death which came quite suddenly Monday in a hospital in Manhattan. Mrs. Crocker was taken to the hospital Friday from her home in Manhattan.

The funeral services were held this (Wednesday) afternoon at 6:45 o’clock in Manhattan, where the body was interred.

Mrs. Crocker’s husband, Arthur Crocker, who was in Oklahoma when she became ill, hurried to Manhattan last week when her condition became serious. Her sister, Mrs. E.G. Crocker, of Matfield Green, was in Washington state visiting her son, Arthur, and did not reach Manhattan until Wednesday. The funeral service was postponed until Mrs. E.G. Crocker could arrive.

Mrs. Arthur Crocker’s maiden name was Miss Daisy Brandley. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brandley, having been born and reared at Matfield Green, where the most of her life was spent. Besides her husband she is survived by four children, Earl, Hila, Marion and Sibyl, all of Manhattan.

Chase County Leader News, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, Aug 08 1934.

Researcher’s note: Daisy was born April 20, 1878. She was 56 at the time of her death.
