Crocker, Maude B Brandley MAUDE B. CROCKER
LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF COUNTY IS DEAD
Mrs. E.G. Crocker of Matfield Green Died Monday After Several Months’ Illness
Mrs. E. G. Crocker of Matfield Green, one of the best known residents of the southern part of this county, died Monday evening at the Axtell Hospital in Newton where she had been a patient two weeks. Mrs. Crocker had been in poor health for many months.
Mrs. Crocker was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brandley. Her maiden name was Maude Brandley. She was born at Matfield Green, March 13, 1872, and lived in that community practically all her life.
Surviving Mrs. Crocker are her husband. E.G. Crocker; two sons, Arthur Crocker of Vancouver, Wash., and Mason Crocker of Eureka; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Howard of Strong City and Mrs. Clifford Galeger of Easton, Pa.; one brother, Robert Brandley of Matfield Green; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hildebrand of Matfield Green and Mrs. Pearl Harsh of El Dorado. All of the children were here for the funeral.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home. The Rev. Mr. Maybeley, pastor of a Newton Episcopal church, conducted the services. Interment was in Prairie Grove cemetery in Cottonwood Falls.

MRS. E.G. CROCKER DIES

Matfield Green—Mrs. E.G. Crocker, of Matfield Green, died at the Axtell hospital in Newton Monday evening. Mrs. Crocker was 64 years of age and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brandley, pioneer settlers of Chase county.
She is survived by her husband and four children who are Arthur Brandley, of Washington; Mrs. Clifford Gallagher, of Pennsylvania; Mrs. Fred Howard, of Strong City, and Mason Crocker, of Matfield Green.
The funeral services will be held at the Crocker home at Matfield Green at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon. Interment will be made in the Prairie Grove cemetery.
