Crofoot, Glenn G

Glenn G. Crofoot, 89, of Wichita, formerly of Chase County and Emporia, died Nov. 18, 2001, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. Glenn G. Crofoot was born April 16, 1912, to John Freeman and Augusta Peterson Crofoot at Roxbury.

He married Doris Evans Sept. 8, 1946, at Strong City. Survivors include his wife of the home; one sister, Helen Wealand, Cedar Point; one grandson, Nicholas Crofoot and wife, Angela, Kansas City; and daughter-in-law, Julie Crofoot Amos, Bentonville, Ark.; one brother-in-law, Wallace Evans, Emporia; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two sons, G G and Steve Crofoot; two brothers, Ray and Ervin Crofoot and a niece, Joan Crofoot. He was a rancher and cattleman and owned the Crofoot Ranch in Saffordville.

Funeral services will be held Nov. 23, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel in Emporia. Services will be officiated by nephews, Mike and Joe Stout. Interment will be in Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar. Memorial funds are suggested to the Larksfield Place in Wichita in care of the funeral home.
