Daggett, Lucile Sielert

Lucile Daggett, 86, of Emporia, died Nov. 20, 2002, at her home. The service was Nov. 25, 2002, in Reading Cemetery at Reading. Lee Hoskins conducted the service. Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice can be sent to the Roberts-Blue- Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.

She was the clerk of the Selective Service Board in Emporia for 14 years, beginning in 1960, until the office closed. She then retired.

Lucile Sielert, the daughter of Edward and Eva Smith Sielert, was born April 15, 1916, at Plymouth.

She married Ralph L. Daggett on May 26, 1934, at the Chase County Courthouse in Cottonwood Falls. Mrs. Daggett was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She also was a mem- ber of the auxiliaries of American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5, Veterans of Foreign Wars Lowry-Funston Post 1980 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeerie 2587, as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by a daughter, Ralphea Hill of Emporia; and two brothers, David Sielert and E.R. Sielert, both of Emporia.
