Lottie Marie Dahlberg

Lottie Marie Dahlberg, 103, died April 29, 2008, at Golden Living Center Cottonwood Falls.

Lottie Marie Kimble, the daughter of James and Mattie Kimble, was born Nov. 19, 1904, in Marquette.

On Dec. 14, 1929, she married Harvey L. Dahlberg at Marquette. He died on Aug. 19, 1996.

She was a registered nurse, graduating from the Ellsworth Hospital, Ellsworth. She was also a public school nurse and served as chairman for the Red Cross bloodmobile for 10 years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church of Cottonwood Falls. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, served on the official board and had been a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a 50-year plus member of the Falls Chapter #25 of Cottonwood Falls of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Chase County Historical Society., Justamere Study Club, Priscilla Club and Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club.

She is survived by a son, Alan L. Dahlberg, Andover; a daughter Norma Lea Shields, Hilton Head, S.C.; and two grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

Services were Saturday, May 3, at the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church with Rev. Melody Kimbrel officiating. Burial followed at Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Memorials are to Falls Chapter #25 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
