Dale, Ward E Ward Edmond Dale, 93, of Marion died Feb 7, 2002, at Marion. Mr. Dale was retired as a civil engineer for the state. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. Ward. the son of Ed G and Minnie Grippin Dale, was born Aug 14 1908, at St. Paul, Minn. He married Geraldine Hamm of Cottonwood Falls on Nov 09, 1958. Mr Dale was a member of the Marion Christian Church. He also was a member of American Legion Post 6958 at Marion and Zeredetha Lodge 80 at Cottonwood Falls.
He is survived by his wife; a brother, Phillip Dale of Wamego; and two nieces and one nephew.
The funeral was Feb 9, 2002 in the Zeiner Funeral Home at Marion. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery at Cottonwood Falls. Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home, 205 Elm St., Marion 66861.
