Daub, Anna

Mrs. William Daub Dies At Her Home Aged Woman Had Lived in This County Since Coming Here in 1876. Mrs. Anna Daub, widow of the late Win. Daub, died early this Wednesday morning at her home west of Strong City after an extended illness. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Anthony's church at Strong City and interment will be in St. Anthony's cemetery. Rev. Fr. Edward J. Albers will conduct the services.

Mrs. Daub is one of the county's oldest citizens, both in time of residence here and in years. She was born January 19, 1850, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Michael and Teresa Stubenhofer. With her parents and brothers and sisters, she came to Chase County in February, 1876, and settled in the Prairie Hill community. Mrs. Daub has lived here the 61 years since that time.

Mrs. Daub was the mother of 11 children, two of whom are dead. Those surviving are Titus, Alfred, David, Charley and Oscar Daub, Mrs. Mary Harder, Mrs. Katherine White, Mrs. Etta Newman and Mrs. Susie Harder, all of Strong City. She leaves also six sisters and brothers, Mrs. Henry Wiebrecht, Sr., Mrs. D. W. Foxworthy of Strong City; Mrs. Clarence Baldwin of Cottonwood Falls; Mrs. W. F. Rockwood of Topeka; William Stubenhofer of Strong City and Joseph Stubenhofer of Erie, Pa.
