Davis, Jimmy Dale

Jimmy Dale Davis, 62, a retired KFDI account executive, died July 25, 2004. He was born on Aug. 22, 1941, in Lucien, Okla.

He married his wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Mushrush, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wichita. After graduating from Wichita West High School in 1959 and attending Wichita State University, he was the Vice President and General Manager of Shakey's-Wells Pizza, Inc. in Wichita. In 1972, he became an Account Executive at the KFDI radio ranch, and developed valued friendships with many colleagues and clients over the subsequent 29 years. He retired from KFDI in 2001 to become a full-time husband, father, and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his mother Audra Jean Alberty and his father Danchel Ashley Davis. Survivors include: wife, Mary Ann; son, Todd Davis of Wichita; daughter, Tammy Davis of Ithaca, NY; brothers, Marshall Davis of Albuquerque, NM, Carroll Davis of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Pat Oliver of Tulsa, Okla., Sandra Domurat of Globe, Ariz., Koa Costley of Anthony; and three grand-children.

The funeral service was held at 2 pm, Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wichita. Burial was at Kensington Gardens. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Holy Cross Lutheran School. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
