Dawson, Dorothy Mae
Dorothy Mae Dawson,
86, a homemaker, died Aug.
28, 2003, at Community
Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
Dorothy, the daughter of S.J. (Bess) and Nettie Shelton, was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Chase County. She
graduated from Clements
High School.
She married
Leo Dawson and lived on a farm at Clements until moving to California in 1956.
Mrs. Dawson was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kansas.
She is survived by a son, Le Dawson of Calabasas, Calif.; a daughter, Judy Dawson of Marina, Calif.; a
sister, Doris Evans of Hollister, Calif.; five grand-children; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Leota Rae Burriel.
No services were held.
