Fagg, David

Retired Area Farmer Passes

David Fagg, 84, of Matfield Green, who was a retired Chase County farmer, died last Thursday evening in the Newman Memorial Hospital Emporia. He had lived in Matfield Green since his retirement in 1955. A son of Pleasant and Rebecca Stanley Fagg, he wag born February 2, 1886.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Monday in the Community Church in Matfield Green. The Rev Robert B. Craig of the United Methodist Church, Cottonwood Falls, officiated. James Bell sang, accompanied by Mrs. Charles Ireland. Casketbearers were Edward Baker, Earl Underwood, Wilbur Talkington, Max Shaw, Ralph Crowell and Albert Banks. Burial was in Matfield Green Cemetery. The Brown-Bennett Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, was in charge of arrangements.

Surviving Mr. Fagg are 11 nieces and nephews. He was pre- ceded death by three brothers,' John, Charles and William Fagg, and one sister, Phoebe Fagg. Relatives attending the rites from a distance were Mr and Mrs. Dorphus Fagg, Emporia; Mr & Mrs Greorge Fagg and Mrs. George Fagg and Mrs. Pearl Hursh, El Dorado; Mrs. Carl Pinkston and John Pinkston, Florence.
