Fischer, Inez Evelyn

Inez Evelyn Fischer, 89, died Feb. 14, 2003, in Osage City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Osage City.

Inez Evelyn Russell was born Nov. 30, 1913, in Bazaar the daughter. of Nathan and Clara Bradley Russell.

Mrs. Fischer was a homemaker and farmed with her husband for many years in Chase County, and 54 years southwest of Burlingame, in Osage County. She moved to Osage City about three years ago from Burlingame.

She married Tom H. Fischer on July 30, 1932, in Newton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Merrifield of Osage City, Mary Vandervord of Scranton, Dora Mac Purcell of Topeka; a sister, Bertha Baker of Matfield Green; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grand- children and two great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Funeral services were held Feb. 18, 2003, at Crable VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Graveside services were held at the Bazaar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Midland Hospice or RCIL and may be sent in care of Crable VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 North Sixth, Osage City, Kan. 66523.
