Fly, Mary C Buffum Mary Fly, 63, of Cottonwood
Falls died Nov. 12, 2002, at
Morris County Hospital,
Council Grove. The funeral
Service was Nov. 16, 2002, at
the United Methodist Church,
Cottonwood Falls. The Rev.
Melody Kimbrel officiated.
Private burial was in Prairie
Grove Cemetery.
Mary C. Buffum, the daughter of Charles "Bob" and Cathline Carr Buffum, was
born March 13, 1939, at El
Dorado. She married Johnny
Fly on March 17, 1962, in El
Dorado.
Mary was a Methodist. She
worked for Unified School
District 284 as a cook at the
Chase County Grade School
and then at the Chase County
Middle School.
She is survived by her hus
band, of the home; two sons,
Terry Fly of Albany, Ore. and
Kasey Fly, who is stationed in
Japan with the U.S. Navy; two
daughters, Robin Ybarra of
Wichita and Michelle Kraus of
Emporia; one brother, Robert
Buffum of Pomona; and seven
grandchildren. Memorial contributions to
the United Methodist Church
in Cottonwood Falls can be
sent to Brown-Bennett-
