Foxworthy, John Franklin "Frank"

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. for Frank Foxworthy with Reverend E D Michael minister of church and Rev. I H Witt of Ponca City officiating.

Interment was in Newkirk cemetery under direction of Boatright-Weber funeral home. Serving as pallbearers were Fred Lesemann, Carl Miller, Orra Meeks, Archie Kail, John Schramm, and Everett Perkins.

John Franklin Foxworthy was born September 10, 1877 at Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Miranda Foxworthy and died June 12, 1960 at the Ponca City hospital. He moved to Oklahoma as a young man and has lived in the Newkirk-Kildare area for sixty years.

He was married Feruary 24, 1904 at the county courthouse here to Miss Edna Woolley. He was a farmer and also worked for the Farmers Coop in the hardware department prior to his retirement about eight or nine years ago. He was an active member of the First Christian Church and the ATA and Grange.

Besides his wife, Edna, of the home, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charles W. Smith, Los Alamos, N.M.; Mrs. Bernard Weber, Satanta, Ks; and Mrs Howard Baucom, Newkirk; and six sons, L.C. of Newkirk; Glen, El Dorado, KS; Leo, Ponca City, Ok.; Harold, Chicago, Il; Jerald, Rome, NY; and Donald, Newkirk; 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
