Gaddie F M Dr

Dr. F M Gaddie, 51 veterinarian and co-owner of Stanley Veterinary Clinic, Leawood, died Oct. 14 2001 at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at McGilley State Line Chapel, Kansas City, Mo. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m., at Bazaar Cemetery.

F M Gaddie, son of Frank and Mina Lambel Gaddie, was born Sept 5, 1950, in Emporia, and was reared in Bazaar. He attended Kansas State University and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. He was a lifetime member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He practiced at Rariton Hospital in Edison, N. J., Schondelmeyer Animal Hospital in Independence, Mo., Oak Park Veterinary Clinic in Overland Park and Stanley Veterinary Clinic in Stanley.

He was a lifetime Member of Kansas State University Alumni Association, Kansas City Cat Backers, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. He was past Chairman of Board and Secretary/Treasurer of Directors of Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Greater Kansas City and Past Board of Directors of Kansas Veterinary Medical Association.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Frank and Virginia Gaddie of Bazaar; three children, Leigh Gaddie, of Manhattan, Greer and Drew Gaddie of Leawood; two sisters, Amy Lou Stephenson of Wichita and Sylvia Brethour of Wamego; a stepbrother, Ernest Ballweg of Stilwell; and a step-sister, Nancy Hodges, of Scottsdale, Ariz,; and five nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mina E. Gaddie and a nephew, Todd Gaddie Brethour. Memorials to the Center for Basic Cancer Research at K.S.U. and to the Bazaar Community Fund may be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, Friends may view at Bazaar Cemetery prior to the graveside service.
