Gahring, Billy Russell

Billy Russel Gahring, a resident of Berryville Ark., was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Marengo Co., Iowa, the son of Christopher and Flossie (Border) Gahring. He died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, in Litchfield, Ill., at the age of 74. Mr. Gahring was a residential construction builder. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

On May 17, 1985, he married Darlene (Ballard) Gahring who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Candace Ronnebaum of Independence, Mo,., and Joy Pint of Jessup, Iowa; two sons, Randy Gahring of Lincoln, Mo., and Kim Gahring of Austin, Texas; two step-sons, Trent Crissup of Berryville, and Troy Crissup of Louisville, Ken.; one sister, Fern McGrew of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; one brother, Merlin Gahring; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He ws preceeded in death by his parents and two sons, Kendall Gahring and Steven Gahring and a step-son Todd Crissup. Funeral services were June 24, 2002, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Montgomery officiating. Interment followed in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice.
