Gibb, Juanita R

The funeral for Juanita Ruth Gibb, 79, of rural Cottonwood Falls was Friday, Nov. 2. in the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral home at Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Dale Pracht, chaplain at Newman hospital conducted the service. Burial was in Elmdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Chase County Emergency Medical Service can be sent in care of the funeral home.

Mrs. Gibb, who died Oct. 30, 2001, at Newman hospital, was the Chase County treasurer from 1959-1987.

Juanita Ruth Frey, the daughter of Frank and Hazel Talkington Frey was born June 17, 1922, at Elk. She married George "Bo" Gibb on April 17, 1946, at Emporia. He died in 1998. Mrs Gibb was a member of the Business and Professional Women in Chase County and the State Republican Club.
