Gilpin, Lonnie Lee
Lonnie Lee Gilpin, 35, of Emporia died June 16, 2003 at his home.
Lonnie, the son of Walt and Bernadean Scheaffer Talkington, was born July 10, 1967, at Kansas City, Mo.
He was a landscaper for Robinson's Landscaping. He had also worked as a crane operator for bridge construction many years.
Lonnie is survived by his parents of Cottonwood Falls; lifelong partner, Tanya Larson of the home in Emporia; brother, Ron Fleshman, Emporia; and sisters, Becky Pittman .of Ottawa and Vicki Lawrence of El Dorado. He was preceded in death by grandmothers Edith Talkington and Elva Scheaffer.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service at Roberts -Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, will be Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be sent to the Lonnie Gilpin Benefit Fund in care of Roberts -Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State, Emporia, KS 66801.
