Graham, Alfred L "Jack"

Mr. Jack Graham died very suddenly Friday night. He had only been sick a few days with pneumonia and was not thought to be seriously sick until Friday. His death came as a shock to his family and neighbors. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. A Goodrick and burial was in the Columbus cemetery.

There was an unusally large crowd of friends and neighbors and relatives attended the funeral. An abundance of beautiful flowers covered the casket. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Rainy Kyler and son, Frank, from Monett, Mrs. Mattie Green and son, Wilbur, from Claremore, Okla., Mr. Tom Graham from Clements, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Rowe from Weir and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weiss from Baxter. The entire community extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.

Alfred L. Graham was born in Rich Hill, Mo., the year 1878, was 43 years, 9 months, 5 days old; moved to Kansas when a small boy, later locating in Cherokee County.

Was married to Altha Rowe, December 24th, 1900. To this union seven children were born, five girls and two boys. Mrs. Fred Weis, Fred, Lora, Irene, Eldred, Katherine and Lee.

Deceased also leaves three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Matie Grimwood, Cedar Point, Ks., Tom Graham, Clements, Ks., Mrs. Kate Soper, Columbus, and Mrs. Mattie Green, Claremore, Okla. Funeral services were held from the home, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. Goodrick. Burial was made in the City Cemetery.
