Green, John C Sr John C. Green Sr., 72, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. Cremation has taken place.
John Calvin Green, the son of John Cardel Green, was born Feb.1, 1934, at San Diego, Calif. He and Roberta Speck were married in Denver in 1960. They were divorced.
He worked as a laborer on the receiving docks in South Gate, Calif. He lived
in Long Beach, Calif. before moving to Cottonwood Falls in 1998. He lived in the Cottonwood Falls Housing until his health forced his move to the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was active in the Senior Center.
He is survived by a son, John C. Green Jr. of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a daughter, Eva Zebick of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Cardell
Green of Santa Monica, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Cottonwood Falls, with Pastor Rick Smith officiating.
Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
