Hainey, Eldon Merle

Eldon M. Hainey, 77, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at the Council Grove Health Care Home in Council Grove.

Eldon, the son of Hugh C. and Stena Anderson Hainey, was born Aug. 23, 1926, at Burlington, Kansas. He worked as a lineman for Flint Hills RECA in Council Grove for 25 vears and retired in 1981.

He is survived by his wife, the former MaryLu Rachael Crawford of the home; two sons, Roland L. Hainey of Cottonwood Falls and Gordon R. Hainey of Mayetta; seven grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.

A daughter, Merlea D. Magathan, preceded him in death in 1986. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
