Harrison, Charlene Louise Hutcherson

Charlene Louise Harrison, 81, of Cottonwood Falls died at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka April 3, 2002. A Memorial Service was conducted at the First Presbyterian Church USA in Cottonwood Falls April 8, 2002, with the Rev. Pat Ireland officiating.

Charlene Louise Hutcherson was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Emporia to Charles and Frances Allen Hutcherson. She married James Harrison on Aug. 8, 1959 in Emporia. She was a homemaker and a cook at various places including the Chase County Senior Center, Chase County School District, and the former Eshbaugh Restaurant in Cottonwood Falls. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church USA. She was an Elder of the church and a member of the Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by her husband, James, of the home; three daughters, Virginia Bailey of San Diego, Calif., Diana Kirkendoll of Lincoln, Neb. and Carlotta Webster of Emporia; two brothers, Allen Hutcherson of Emporia and Robert Hutcherson of Hutchinson; five sisters, Joy Beavers of Alta Dena, Calif., Aletha Smith, Leanna Tucker, Sarah Chambers and Linda Hutcherson all of Emporia; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to the Presbyterian Women of the Church.
