Hatcher, Chester O
FLORENCE: Chester O. Hatcher, 85, died June 26, 1999, at Hillsboro
Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, Hillsboro.
He was born September 22, 1913, at Lamed, the son of Oden and Ruth Bridge
Hatcher. A longtime Florence resident, he was a retired school custodian in
Florence. He belonged to Florence United Methodist Church.
On April 2, 1938, he married Dorothy Graham at Cottonwood Falls. She died
Oct. 24, 1996.
Survivors include: two daughters, Janie Hein and Rose Ann Hatcher, both of
Hillsboro, two brothers Jerry, McPherson, and John, Ellinwood; a sister,
Ruby Beyer, Hutchinson; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral wil be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Florence United Methodist Church,
with the Revs. Steve Thaden and Larry Parrish presiding. Friends may call
from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Zeiner Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in
Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.
Memorials may be sent to the church or Hillsboro Community Medical Center
Long Term Care Center, both in care of the funeral home.
