Hawkins, Richard E

Richard E. Hawkins, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 1994, at the Olathe Medical Center. Mr. Hawkins was born Jan. 24, 1910 at Clements to Fred and Mary A. Green Hawkins.

He married Merle Pracht on Dec. 9, 1936 at Cottonwood Falls.

Mr. Hawkins worked construction, was a member of the First Christian Church and the Delphian Lodge #44 in Garnett.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters; one sister Mrs. Bertha Dawson, Cottonwood Falls; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church in Garnett on Nov. 2. Burial followed at the Garnett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the I hospice/First Christian Church, Garnett.
