Hayes, Margaret Ann Eisenbeis

Margaret Ann Hayes, 93, of Olpe died Monday, June 20, 2005, at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.


She was a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and Newman Memorial Hospital before she retired. Mrs. Hayes was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Anne Alter Society and the Third Order of St. Frances. She also was a member of the Happy Homemakers and Flying Needles.

She is survived by four daughters, Peggy Traner of Emporia, Sharon Stine of Strong City, Sandy Stromer of Wichita and Ellie Lewis of Broken Arrow, Okla.; four sons, Matt Hayes Jr. of Strong City, Robert Hayes of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Dennis Hayes of Belen, N.M. and James Hayes of Collinville, Okla.; two sisters, Kathryn Curran of Olpe and Mary Ambrose of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 30 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Corpening; three sisters, Frances Bruce, Ruth Dorty and Sister Helen Eisenbeis; one brother, James Eisenbeis; two grandsons; and one granddaughter. The Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, June 24, 2005, in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Olpe. The Rev. Tim Haberkorn was the celebrant. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church and sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS .
