Hedrick, Edward Morgan

Edward Morgan Hedrick, 91, of Emporia died Nov. 12, 2001, at Newman hospital. Mr. Hedrick was a conductor for the Santa Fe Railway in the middle division before he retired in 1982. Edward Morgan Hedrick, the son of Edward Thomas and Bertha Ann Corbin Hedrick, was born June 16, 1910, at Bazaar. He graduated from Chase County High School at Cottonwood Falls. He married Sarah Belle Johns on May 14, 1933, at Joplin, Mo.

Mr. Hedrick was a member of the Christian Church. He also was a member of the United Transportation Union. He is survived by his wife; a daughter; Sandra Ann Fulton; Emporia; two grandchildren, Thomas D Fulton, Emporia and Jane Bruton of Fountain, Inn, S.C.: and five great-grandchildren. The Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home will announce services.
