Hill, Elsa M Smith

Elsa M. Hill, 86, of Cheyenne Wyo. died Monday, March 27, 2006, at the United Medical Center in Cheyenne.

Elsa M. Smith, the daughter of William and Minnie Smith, was born June 26, 1919, at Big Springs, Neb. She married Leon M. Hill on Dec. 30, 1953, at Julesburg, Colo. He survives. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hill was a member of the North Christian Church in Cheyenne. She also was a member of the Cheyenne Ladies Bowling League.

She is also survived by two sons, William A. Bale of Longville, La. and Ronald D. Bale of Lake McConaughy, Neb.; three daughters, Diana D. Bale of Cheyenne, Wyo., Karen A. Marcum of Westminster, Colo. and Peggy L. Nieto of Berthoud, Colo.; a stepson, Leon M. Hill Jr., of Lincoln, Neb.; a stepdaughter, Theota Huisha of Jetmore; two sisters, Nancy Frickey of Topeka and Myrna Mashek of Sidney, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five step- grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. A son, Dale Kent Bale; eight brothers; and three sisters died earlier.

The graveside service was held Saturday, April 1, in Bazaar Cemetery at Bazaar. Memorial contributions to the Bazaar Schoolhouse Building Fund may be sent in care of the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
