Howard, Robert Crocker
Robert Crocker Howard, 54, Americus, died Dec. 17, 2006, at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.
Robert, the son of Fred H. and Beverly K. Pyke Howard, was born May 5, 1952, at Lawrence. He graduated from Valley Center High School in 1970.
He married Christine Gay Albertson July 11, 1981, at Winfield. She survives.
He was President and CEO of B&K Mechanical Inc. in Americus from 1992 to 2003. He was currently self-employed and ran Howard Masonry in Americus. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Valley Center.
He is also survived by two sons, Gregory H. Howard and Samuel C. Howard both of Americus; his parents; and two sisters, Kris White of Papillion, Neb. and Kathryn Pike of Lawrence.
The funeral service was Dec. 28, at Americus United Methodist Church, Americus. Pastor Claudia Bakely of the First United Church, Emporia, conducted the service. Cremation has taken place, inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State St. Emporia, KS 66801.
