Howard, Virginia

Little Virginia Howard Is Dead. Virginia May Howard, oldest daughter of G. B. and Mattie Howard, was born at Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, December 5th, 1911. She died at the home of her parents in this city, after a brief illness, on Febuary 14th 1913, aged 6 years, 2 months and 9 days. She was a regular attendant in the Primary class of the Presbyterian Sabbath School and a bright and promising pupil in the first grade of the city school.

Her earthly life is ended when scarcely begun, yet she leaves in the hearts of the people of this community, a memory of sweetness, innocence and beauty.

We grieve today, only for the sadness of the parting for we know that Virginia has but heard the gentle voice of the Good Shepherd calling her as a lamb to His fold and how comforting is the assurance that he speaks today as he spoke long ago in Galilee where he took the little ones into His arms and blessed them saying, "Suffer little children to come unto me. For of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
