Hudson, Emma Jane Bruce
Emma Jane Hudson, 80, died Aug. 2, 2003, at Lamed Healthcare Center, Lamed.
She was born Jan. 13, 1923, at Cottonwood Falls, the daughter of Samuel and Anna E. Hulett Bruce. She married Ora Kenneth Hudson July 22, 1939, at Cottonwood Falls.
A resident of Pawnee Rock since 1996, coming from Hanston, she was owner
and operator of Emma Lou's Cafe in Hanston. Mrs. Hudson attended Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Lamed.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Dora Stout, Kansas City, Mo.; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, George, John, William, Charles, Ralph, Fred and Alvin; and two
sisters, Alma Lawrence and Sara Studer.
The funeral service was Aug. 6, 2003, at Morell Funeral Home Home in Lamed with T. Butch Espinosa officiating. Burial was in Pawnee Rock Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Relay for Life or the church both in care of the funeral home.
