Johnson, Georgia Mae Kimball

Georgia Mae Johnson, 88, Pratt, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at South Wind Hospice Home, in Pratt.

Georgia, the daughter of Wilbur and Jane Jesse Kimball, was born March 11, 1918, at Barber County, Kan. She married Dale M. Johnson at Wellington on Dec. 21, 1940. He died Oct. 19, 1991.

She was a tax preparer; owner/operator of the first Pizza Hut in Pratt, Mary Kay Consultant, legal secretary and worked for the Pratt County Treasurer. She was an officer of BPW, a member of Pratt County Democrat Women and Order of the Easter Star.

She is survived by a son, Greg Johnson of rural Chase County; a daughter, Judy Nixon of Sawyer; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Kimball and a grandson. The funeral was Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with John Hamm officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
