Jones, Billy Shaft Billy Shaft Jones, 73, died May 7, 2002, at Tulsa, Okla. A memorial service was held May 11 at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls. Mr. Jones was cremated. Private inurnment service was at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Billy Shaft Jones, the son of Charles K (Casey) and Ella Mae Shaft Jones, was born Nov. 18, 1928, in Strong City. He and Shirley Blount were married in 1958 at Cottonwood Falls. They were divorced.
He worked with several construction companies. He is survived by two sons, Terry K Lincoln of Bismarck, ND and Rick N. Lincoln of Newton; two brothers, Junior Jones and Tom Jones of Cottonwood Falls; three sisters, Donna Carson and Elizabeth Beikmann of Manhattan and Margaret Westfahl of Haven; and four grandchildren.
