Layport, Charles Walker

Charles Walker Layport, 65, died March 5, 2005, at the Via Christi Hospital in Wichita. He was cremated.

Recent burial was at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence, alongside his parents.

Charles, the son of William and Hazel Crumm Layport, was born Jan. 29, 1940, at Strong City. He had stayed in Cottonwood Falls as a child with his grandparents, Parry W. and Charlotte Layport. He graduated from Cedar Point High School. He worked as a carpenter.

Survivors include cousins George W Wyatt and Judith Kewley of Emporia.
