Louis, Jean
Jean Louis, 87, died July 22, 2004, in El Dorado.
The funeral was Saturday, July 24, 2004, at the Florence United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Dyar officiating.
Jean Williams was born July 24, 1916, to June and Bertha Ferguson Williams, three miles northwest of Florence. She graduated from Florence High School in 1934 and taught briefly
at Folsum School, a rural one-room schoolhouse west of the family farm near Florence.
On April 17, 1937, she married Wilber "Bill" Louis. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Don Louis, of Denton, Texas; one daughter, Carol Kutz, of El Dorado; seven
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002.
A memorial fund has been established with the Florence United Methodist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence.
