Madden, Ellen

Mrs. Ellen Madden, wife of John Madden, died last Sunday morning, at her late residence near Bazaar. Mrs. Madden was 78 years old, and had been failing for a long time, and about two weeks before her death she began sinking rapidly, rallying occasionally.

Her sons, John and Dennis were with her alternately until she died. The deceased was buried in the Catholic cemetery, Monday afternoon, and the services were held at the Catholic church. The funeral portege was unusally large.

Mrs. Madden was one of the early settlers of Marion county, locating there in the early sixties.
