Madden, Olive

Mrs. Olive Madden Dead.

The death of Mrs. Olive Madden at her home in this city removes one of the few half century residents of Chase county.

The deceased was 66 years of age and is survived by three children Mrs. Lizzie Walker Mrs. Sally Fent of Matfield and Mrs. Belle Cordin of Parsons.

Mrs. Madden came to Chase county together with her parents when a girl and located at Thurman. This city had been her home for the past thirteen years. Short funeral services were held at the Madden home in this city Monday morning. Rev. A. Gilmore conducted the services and then the remains were taken to Matfield Green where Rev. Oliver preached the funeral sermon and burial was afterwards made.

Mrs. Madden's death occurred Saturday evening, May 15th. She had been ill only a little over a week and her death has brought sorrow to her relatives and friends.

Mrs. Madden was twice married, both of her husbands dying before her. She thought much of her family and was a kind wife and mother to her husband and children.
