ED MALONEY, F0RMER STRONG CITIAN, PASSES

Ed Maloney, of Newton a former resident and business man in Strong City passed away Monday, October 13 in Newton. He had been in ill health for some time. During the last five years Mr. Maloney lived in Strong City, he owned and operated the Bank Hotel. He moved to Newton in 1924.

Surviving him are his wife and five children. He was a brother -in-law of William A. Lawless of Cottonwood Falls.

Recitation of the Rosary was held Wednesday evening at Moody funeral home in Newton. Services will be conducted Thursday morning, October 16, at 9 o'clock in the St. Anthony's cemetery, Strong City. At 11:30 o'clock Thursday morning. Graveside services. will be conducted through the Brown Funeral Ilome.
