Maloney, J J

J. J. Maloney, one of the best known Santa Fe engineers of this division, died suddenly at his home in Strong City, Tuesday morning.

Mr. Maloney had liyed in Strong City nearly thirty years and for the past twenty years had run out of Strong City on the Superior or Bazaar Branches. He had been in poor health since last summer when he suffered a sunstroke while on his engine between Strong City and Bazaar.

Besides his wife he leaves nine children who are Mrs. May Kraft and Miss Elizabeth Maloney of Topeka; Frankie, Josephine, Lillian, Marian, Anna, Ed and Joe, all of Strong City. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Castholic church after which burial will be made in the Strong City Catholic Cemetery.

Mr Maloney's death is a severe shock to his family and many friends The bereaved wife and children have the sympathy of all in this their hour of sorrow.
