Maloney, J P

J. P. Maloney died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Quinn, Strong City, Wednesday evening. His death resulted from a complication of diseases. For the last two or three years he has been in very poor health and during the last eight weeks he was confined to his bed.

Mr. Maloney was eighty-four years of age. He was one of the earliest settlers of Chase County having lived here more than thirty years. Mr. Maloney's wife has been dead for a number of years.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. George Stubenhofer of Fox Creek and Mrs. T J Quinn of Strong City.

The funeral was held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Anthony's Catholic cemetery east of Strong City. Father Verden preached the funeral sermon.
