Mau, Henry
Henry Mau son of John and Amelia
Mau was born April 14, 1889, in Chase
County Kansas, and died July 26, 1905.
At the time of his death he was aged
16 years 3 months, 13 days.
On Wednesday morning he was obliged
to get his father's horses from the
parture when a sudden stroke of lightning came down upon this lad killing him instantly and also a team of horses, though no one thought the lightning to
be servere.
Besides a host of friends, he leaves a father and mother five sisters and two
brothers. Among those are Mrs. C.N.Koegeboehn Mrs. Wm. Kroeger of
Emporia, Misses Lena, Emma and his
Twin sister Ida, Messrs Wm. and Frank
Mau to mourn his untimely death.
Funeral services were preached at
two o'clock Thursday at the house
Rev. Juergensen officiating. The remains
were laid to rest in the Elk Ceme The bereaved family have the sympath of the entire communitynity
