McCabe, John S
DIED
On March 24th, at Emporia, Kansas at 9:45 a.m., John S McCabe, son of Patrick and Abbie McCabe of this county, aged 21 years past. Young McCabe was attending the Emporia Business College, and the church difficulty on Sharp's Creek caused him to be subpoened to attend the trial and the day was the most stormy that we have experienced for years, and young McCabe attending caused the contraction of a cold, that is believed he never fully recovered from and finally resulted in pneumonia from which he died.
Funeral services were held in the Catholic church in Strong City, Monday conducted by Father Appollnarisn from which the remains were taken to the Catholic cemetery at Strong for interment. The whole community sympathizes with the bereaved family in the loss of their third member of the family.
