McClellan, Waneta Ione

"Flowers have their time to fade
And wither at the north wind's breath,
But thou hast all seasons for thy own,
0 death.,"

Waneta Ione, only daughter or Mr. and Mrs. George McClellan, was born September 30, 1901, died July 20 1902, age 9 months and 20 days.

Waneta was taken sick about three weeks ago, and slowly grew worse, until death relieved her sufferings. Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Barrier. She was a sweet and lovely child, and the idol of her fond parents.

Death enters every home, and is no respecter of persons. The rich and poor, the high andd low, the young and old are among his victims. Jesus called this "infant in the stables and beauty of its innocent age" to come, and live with him.

Little Waneta is dead; no more on earth shall we feel the clasp of her tiny hand, no more shall we listen to the cooing voice; no more shall we greet her baby smile, no more, shall we hear the patter of her little feet; she has flown from earth to heaven, and is now standing on the other shore, with beckoning hands extending to us the invitation, "come."

"A precious one from us has gone.
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled,
God in his wisdom hast recalled
The boon his love had given;
Though the body moulders here
The soul is safe in heaven."
A FRIEND.
