McDowell, John

Died, on Sunday, August 5th, 1888 at 5 a.m., after an illness of several days of urinate poison, John McDowell in the 32nd year of his age. The funeral took place at his late residence a few miles west of this city, on Monday, the 6th at 11 a.m. Rev. W C Somers officiating. The deceased was a good citizen, and all who knew him admired him for his many noble qualities. He leaves a wife, who has the sympathy of a host of friends in her great loss. Buried in Prairie Grove cemetery.
