McKittrick, James Wallace James Wallace McKittrick was
born May 4, 1888, in Lexington, Kentucky. In 1884 he with his parents moved to Wonsevu, Kansas where he has always resided and has been a successful farmer in that community.
On December 25, 1905, he was married to Malva Goad. To this union was born one child, Violet Maye. His wife departed from this life Ootober 21, 1909
No, other person will be missed as much as James - Better known as "Jim"' both at home and in the community. He had always been highly respected and loved by all for his
oourtesy and the thoughtfulness to friends and strangers as well.
He was active in political, religious and social life. He has been a member of the Cedar township board for the past twelve years and a member of the Wonsevu school board for several years. He united with the Christian
church at Wonsevu in 1916 and has been active in church work. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the M. W. of A. of which he was clerk at the time of his death.
James McKittrick departed from this life July 24, 1921, He leaves to mourn his death one daughter, his parents, four sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services were held at the Wonsevu church, Monday afternoon. Rev. J. M. Cockrill of the Christian Church conducted the services.

ANOTHER DEATH FROM AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT.

J. W. McKittrick of Wonsevu was Instantly Killed When Blow Out Caused Car to Turn Turtle.
J. W. McKittrick of Wonsevu was instantly killed about four o'clock Sunday afternoon when the Ford which he was driving turned over into a ditch by the George Buffin farm
southeast of Wonsevu.
He was going down a hill by the Buffin farm blowout in a tire caused the car to skid toward the ditch and finally turned over pinning him under the car at his head and shoulders, crushing his head and breaking his arms. He was alone in the car but Homer Shanklin also of that neighborhood, was just behind him when the accident happened. He was unable to raise the car off the body and ran for help to the Buffin home and when the car was removed Mr. McKittrick was dead.
Mr. McKittrick was the son of J D McKittrick of Wonsevu. He was 42 years old, a widower, his wife having died several years ago. He was born in Kentucky but has been a resident of this county for many years and has been a successful farmer, He leaves a twelve year old daughter
The funeral was held this afternoon at 3:30 at the Wonsevu church.
