McLinden, John Jr. John McLinden Jr. 79, died Oct. 6, 2001, at his home in Colby. Mr. McLinden was a retired grain elevator manager and had lived in Colby over 50 years.
John McLinden Jr. was born in Chase County on Oct. 21, 1921. He is survived by a daughter, Gail D. Moeder of Great Bend; a brother Virgil "Bud" McLinden of Marion; a sister Lucile McLinden of Denver, Colo., and two step grandchildren.
His wife Patricia D. McLinden preceded him in death. The funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Colby, Father Galen Long officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. Memorials are suggested to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colby or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home or any Colby bank.
