OBITUARY MRS.
DOLLIE N. MILLER
Mrs. Dolly N. Miller died at the St. Elizabeth Hospital at Hutchinson,
Sunday, December 19. She had been in pour health for several years but had been better since undergoing an operation last fall, and her death, due to a nervous breakdown, was quite unexpected.
Mrs. Miller was born at Piper City, Ill., in 1876. She came to Kansas with her parents when a small child and has spent nearly all of her life in this state. She has made Strong City her home for the past 15 years. She attended school at Cottowood Falls, later taking work at the Emporia Normal. She taught five successful terms of school.
She was married to J. S. Miller, October 25, 1899, and for 20 years remained a devoted wife, doing what her hands found to do to administer comfort to her home. On May 25, 1916, she united with the Methodist church in Strong City and has since
remained a faithful member, working with the Ladies' Aid organization whenever her health permitted. Her faith was strong in the saving grace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and she believed she would soon be with the loved ones who had crossed the vale.
She leaves to mourn her death four sisters: Mrs. Luella N. Winne of Strong City, Mrs. Emma A. Gill of Attica, Kans., Mrs. Frances L. Bennett of Hutchinson, Kansas., and Mrs. Carrie L. Park of Alva, Okla., and many friends.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church in Strong City, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. H. A. Fintel. Interment was in Prairie Grove cemetery at Cottonwood Falls.
