Miller, Mary Josephine Daniel

Mary Josephine Miller, 96, of Kit Carson, Colo., who had been living with her daughter in Cottonwood Falls, died Oct. 12, 2002, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia. Funeral services will be Oct. 19, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Kit Carson United Methodist Church in Kit Carson, Colo.

Mary Josephine Daniel was born on Nov. 25, 1905, in Crete, Neb. to Joseph and Alluna Turek Daniel. She mar- ried Ernest Miller on Feb. 10, 1926, in Scott City. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the Kit Carson United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Mott, of Cottonwood Falls; two sis- ters, Emma McRae and Julia Henry both of Leoti. She also leaves four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Ward; broth- er, Joe Daniel; and sister, Allie Halstein.

Memorials are suggested to the Kit Carson United Methodist Church in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls. Love Funeral Home in Limon, Colo., is in charge of arrangements in Colorado.
